about

This album is a concept piece about all types of telecommunication (mobile phones, FAX machines, the early internet, telephones, answering machines etc.) and because of this context, quite different from other Aerial Service Area releases.

The BGM pieces serve as a quiet introduction to the music that follows.

"Theme" is an oddity in our musical "universe", since it features some electronic rhythms and has an upbeat, almost poppy drive to it, a rare occurrence.

Both versions Of "Voices + Noises" have a slow build up;
with voice messages and other references about how an individual might feel and behave within a society based on sharing information via electronic channels and means.
Not all for the better of mankind, while maintaining a facade of an utopian, pseudo-futurist sense of "you can't do without me".

Maybe this music can guide your thoughts towards other ways of thinking, on this controversial subject.

-----------

The music on this album was created between 1986 (BGM A-C) and February 1997 (all other pieces).

"Theme" features Tobias Freund as guest musician deluxe.

-----------

We are currently preparing a companion piece to this album with some remixes, that transform the original music into something rather different in feel and texture.
Hopefully this will see the light of day soon.
We are slow workers... but persistent... :-)
